Bee of the Week!

Each week, Room 5 will have a Bee of the Week. PJ Bear and Ms Baria will choose someone who is striving to achieve their personal best, and following our EPS code and values.

It's been a while since we last updated our blog! A.B., S.L., J.P., and S.O. have claimed the Bee of the Week badge in the lst few weeks! Well done, boys and girl! Last week, A.B. also received a badge for following our school code by bringing in a litter-free lunch box and helping keep our school environment clean and tidy.

Week 2 already! C.C. is our lovely Bee of the Week this week! C.C. is new to Elm Park School and she has been doing a great job of doing her personal best to settle into our routines and learning!

Welcome to Term 3! The first Bee of the Week this term is V.A. who has been doing a great job helping our lovely new students around the classroom, and leading by example! Thank you for your hard work, V.A.!

Kia Ora and welcome to Week 10 - the final week of Term 2! Well done to T.R. who is our Bee of the Week! T.R. has been demonstrating Respect for our environment by picking up any litter around our school and putting them in the correct bins. She is also producing Quality work by sounding out her words in her writing, and using finger spaces.

Welcome to Week 9! Our Bee of the Week this week is K.A.! K.A. is learning to manage himself very well. He follows the teacher's instructions, interacts well with his schoolmates in the classroom and on the playground, and participates in tasks and activities with enthusiasm!

In Week 8, I.P. was our Bee of the Week! She has been striving to achieve excellence in her story writing, demonstrating our school values by showing Initiative around the classroom, and producing Quality artwork. Well done!

Welcome to Room 5's busy hive at Elm Park School, Pakuranga! This is our first year of school. We are learning lots of new things everyday!

"Like what?" asks our teacher, Ms Baria.
"Like worms eat our bananas and then make tea for us," we say.
"You mean worms eat our banana skins and make worm tea for our plants?" Ms. Baria says.
"YES!" we exclaim.

Here are some pictures from one of our visits to our school's worm farm.

Follow us on our learning journey to see what we have been doing, and you may learn something new too! Don't forget to post a comment or share any suggestions of what you would like to see here!
